As a Youth Ambassador for the World Design Capital Conference, Jackson Yee is also the co-organizers of the main exhibition, a creative interactive space titled Shadows of Sound on the third floor of the exhibition hall.
This space integrates two sensory experiences — producing sound and visualizing it — to inspire people to reflect on their relationship with sound. Here, visitors are not merely sound makers, but also participants in sound art creation.
Using microphones as the medium, visitors can make sounds of their own: a sentence, a hum, or any impromptu audio. Based on the live audio collected, sound processing software generates real-time waveforms and visuals, which are projected onto curtains. In this way, the "form" of sound becomes visible. This interactive sound experience serves as a bond that evokes resonance among all participants.
