On July 30, 2024, the Monthly Journal was launched under the Qiang Qiang section of Jackson Yee’s personal website, bringing fans regular audio company every month. Mixed with sounds of wind, rain, chatter, traffic, musical instruments and birdsong, it is like an audio museum. Back in a 2018 interview, he shared that he often recorded various ambient sounds via his phone’s voice memo app for company.

“What makes this way of sensing unique is that these sounds correspond to scenes you have lived through. Yet when you close your eyes and relive the moments solely through your ears, the experience feels entirely different. Many ordinary instants do not strike you as special when they unfold. But someday, when you zone out or have idle time, revisiting those audio moments lets you notice countless new details. This sense of freshness never fades no matter how many times you revisit them, which is why I hope to share these recordings with everyone.”
月记页面以每月一盒磁带的形式更新了10期，2025年 5 月 31 日，改造成了双重隔板，增加了一层存放家用录影带的二层，这里会不定期召开mini乐队表演。
Ten issues of the Monthly Journal were presented in the form of cassette tapes. On May 31, 2025, the page was redesigned to a double-layer shelf. A second layer for VHS tapes was added, where mini band performances are held occasionally.
