As the 2023 Lunar Year of the Rabbit drew near, the New Year gift box released by Jackson Yee’s studio contained a piece of calligraphy written by him in the Slender Gold script, reading the pun ‘Prosperous Rabbit Path’. The Chinese character for ‘rabbit’ is a homophone for ‘road or future‘, making it a blessing wishing everyone a brilliant career and bright prospects. A self-portrait drawn by him can also be seen in the bottom left corner of the work.
